Sawon-Olu Inspects Iworo-Ajido, Epeme Roads In Badagry Ahead Of Commissioning


The Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Solomon Bonu, has led top Lagos State government officials on an inspection visit to the ongoing construction of Iworo-Ajido and Epeme roads in Badagry division ahead of its opening by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Bonu, after being briefed by officials of the CCECC on the state of the roads, expressed optimism that the roads would soon be completed for commissioning.
Other members of the inspection team including the Special Advisers on Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Adeoye Aramide; Housing, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, and Civic Engagement, Princess Aderemi Adebowale as well as the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, Mr. Oluseyi Whenu of the Ministry of Transportation, also expressed satisfaction with the progress of work on the roads.
The Oniworo of Iworo Kingdom in Olorunda Local Council Development Area, HRH, Oba Oladele Kosoko, appreciated the efforts of the State government for the rapid transformation brought to the town and its environs with the various developmental projects.
He stated that the community is eagerly awaiting the commencement of other proposed projects for the town such as the Zonal Model College, Jetty site, Police Station and Central Palace amongst others.
The Monarch specially thanked the State government for its efforts at containing the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as the relief packages sent to the elderly and needy in the area, pledging the community’s continuous support and adherence to all safety directives by the agencies of government.
