{BREAKING} Eid-el-Kabir Prayer: Ilorin Emirate Decide To Go Virtual


As part of the effort to reduce the spread of Covid-19, the Ilorin Emirate have decided to observe the Eid-el-Kabir prayer virtually.
According to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, prayers would be transmitted live from the residence of the Chief Imam of Ilorin for worshippers to follow from their homes.
The Emir said the decision, “is in compliance with the safety protocols against the spread of COVID-19 infectious disease ravaging the country.”
Urging residents to strictly abide by the order, the Emir, enjoined worshippers to pray fervently for the nation and extend charity to the less privileged and loved ones during and after the Sallah festival.
A statement by the spokesman of the Emir, Abdul Azeez Arowona in Ilorin, on Thursday appealed to Muslims to celebrate the festival peacefully in line with the dictates of Allah and his prophets.
He further urged Muslims to always exhibit principles of patience, tolerance and perseverance in all their dealings.
