Lagos State Government Reiterates Safety Of Boat Passengers


The Lagos State Government has reassured boat passengers of their safety on the waterways, residents and business owners to embrace alternative means of transportation.
The Managing Director, Director, Mr. AbdoulBaq Ladi Balogun, Lagos Ferry Services (LAGFERRY), gave the assurance today during the celebration of the company’s 100,000th passenger at the Ipakodo Terminal, Ikorodu.
“Today we are very happy reaching another milestone of commuting our 100,000th passenger on the 124th day of our operations, since the commissioning of our boats by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in February 2020”.
He expressed his appreciation to Governor Sanwo-Olu for his unflinching support and the passengers for their continuous patronage and loyalty, stressing that LAGFERRY will ensure that it continues to provide safety and optimal services on all its passenger boats across the metropolis.
“The 100,000th passenger, Mr. Murtala Balogun, will be rewarded with 10 free trips on all LAGFERRY boats on any route in addition to other gifts and souvenirs”.
In his remarks, the lucky passenger, Mr. Murtala Balogun, thanked Governor Sanwo-Olu for providing state-of-the-art boats and ensuring that the Agency adheres strictly to all safety protocols for the benefit of all passengers.
