Lagos State Government Launches Fuel Station For Boat

Lagos State Government has launched its first-ever fuel station located in Falomo-Ikoyi, with the primary aim of boosting water transportation activities, through the selling of PMS to boats on the inland waterways.
The Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), General Manager of LASWA, Damilola Emmanuel, explained that the initiative will further promote water transportation safety by discouraging the use of jerry cans and kegs for fuel storage on board.
While adding that the filling station will be operated by Ibile Oil and Gas Company (IOGC), being the agency of government in charge of the downstream sector, Emmanuel disclosed that the outlet commenced operations on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2020, with fuel being sold to operators at the official pump price.
