Police Arrest 5 Suspects For Robbery In Ketu


Lagos State Police Command have arrested five suspects for allegedly stealing valuables from members of the public during the protest along Ketu area, Lagos.
The suspects took advantage of the gridlock on the expressway to perpetrate the crime, adding that policemen attached to the Ketu Division arrested them, the State Police Public Relations Officer said in a statement.
Muyiwa Adejobi said the state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, charged policemen in the command to be prepared to provide adequate security for all and sundry despite the ongoing protests across the state.
Adejobi said, “The Lagos State Police Command has set machinery in motion to go after traffic robbers, who harass and rob innocent Lagosians in traffic within the state.
“The state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, dropped the hint on Tuesday while addressing some officers at the command headquarters, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, in preparation for police operational activities during the ember months.
