NBC Warns Media Outlets Against Broadcasting News On Herdsmen
The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has issued a memo warning media outlets against broadcasting contents related to the quit notice given to Fulani herdsmen in the South-West region.
This warning was stated in a letter titled ‘Broadcast of Crisis Involving Herdsmen, Caution’, obtained by Grassroots.ng on Friday.
Recall that a quit notice was issued to Fulani herdsmen by Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho, in Oyo State.
The NBC, which is the regulator of the broadcast media, said there was a need for stations to maintain professionalism.
