Any Shop That Fails To Open Will Be Closed, Workers Sacked – Governor Umahi


Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State
has directed that all Civil and Public Servants must report to work across the State on Monday “and whosoever fails to report to his or her duty post, stands to lose his/her job.”
Umahi noted that any shop or bank that fails to open for business activities on Monday 13th September 2021, in Ebonyi State, stands the risk of losing the right to operate business or banking operation in the State.
A statement made available to Grassroots.ng by Ugbala Kenneth Igwe, Ph.D. Secretary to the State Government and Coordinating Commissioner said Umahi, will personally be on the road, markets and other public places including Ministries and Departments to monitor the level of compliance.
The statement added that, “All the Commissioners and other government officials are to take note and monitor strictly the attendance of workers.”
” Similarly, any shop or bank that fails to open for business activities on Monday 13th September 2021, in Ebonyi State, stands the risk of losing the right to operate business or banking operation in the State.”
” The general public is by this announcement advised to go about their normal businesses without fear.”
” Security agencies, Ebubeagu Security, Ebonyi State Command and Akubaraoha Youths are equally directed to patrol 24 hours in all corners of the State to ensure protection of life and property of Ebonyians as they go about their normal businesses.”
“His Excellency, David Nweze Umahi, will personally be on the road, markets and other public places including Ministries and Departments to monitor the level of compliance.”
“All concerned are to take note and adhere strictly to this important government directive.”
