[BREAKING] Court Sacks Ebonyi Governor For Defecting To Another party

An Abuja Federal High Court has ordered the Ebonyi state Governor, Dave Umahi and his Deputy, Eric Kelechi Igwe to immediately vacate their offices.

Justice Inyang Ekwo found them guilty of unlawfully defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The judge said that having defected from the party on which platform they won the election, Umahi and Igwe are deemed to have resigned their offices.
