EFCC Makurdi Command Trains Staff On Fire Prevention And Safety

The Makurdi Zonal Command of the EFCC, on Thursday, March 24, 2022, organized a lecture on fire prevention and management for its personnel.

Zonal Commander of the EFCC in Makurdi, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE Friday Ebelo says the essence of the lecture is to sensitize staff on the danger of fire outbreaks, both in the workplace and at home, in line with the Policy of the EFCC on Health, Safety and Environment.

Ocheme Job, Head, Training and Enlightenment Unit of Federal Fire Service, Makurdi, Benue State, who delivered the lecture, explained that fire incidents may result from carelessness, accident and willful acts.

He however cautioned that the possibility of fire outbreak could be minimized through the maintenance of good house-keep, not overloading the electric circuit, keeping escape routes free and observing all necessary rules.
