Police Detain House on the Rock Pastor for preaching with AK-47 Rifle, Instructs Dismissal of police officer who offered him the rifle

On Sunday the 12th of February, A pastor of House on the Rock in Abuja, caused a stir online. The Pastor mounted the pulpit with an AK-47 Rifle to preach.

Pastor Aigbe caused a stir in the church on Sunday when he came in bearing the weapon in his hand which he used in illustrating his point of teachings for the service.

However, His actions were highly condemned by most netizens who thought his actions were very wrong irrespective of the point he was trying to proof. That has led to the development of things currently.

The Intelligence Response Team, Force Intelligence Bureau, Garki, Abuja swung into action by detaining the presiding pastor for carrying an AK-47 rifle while preaching in the church on Sunday, February 12.

The FCT police command commenced an investigation on the morning of the 13th of February and discovered that the weapon was handed over to him by one Inspector Audu who was on an assignment in the church.

When interrogated, Audu told the police that he only offered the weapon to Pastor Aigbe because he wanted to use it for illustration.
The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory Command, Sadiq Abubakar, has made a recommendation to the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, to dismiss Inspector Audu.
