The Peoples Democratic Party’s lawsuit seeking the disqualification of Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima as presidential and vice-presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on grounds of double nomination, has been dismissed by Supreme Court.

However ruling on the case on Friday, May 26, A five-member panel of the supreme court held on Friday that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lacked the locus standi to institute the suit.
The apex court held that the opposition party is not a member of the ruling party.
