The Governor Of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu, Is Dead


Mr Akeredolu died at about 2 a.m. on Wednesday at a German hospital where he was receiving treatment as disclosed by a senior citizen to Premium Times.
He died of leukemia and prostate cancer, two ailments that had made him incapacitated for several months. Recall that the ailing governor returned to Nigeria in September following a three-month medical leave in Germany.
On December 12, he went on another medical leave after being directed by President Bola Tinubu to hand over power to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who has since been standing in as acting governor.
Late Akeredolu is survived by his wife, Betty, children and grand children. He was 67 years old.
