Anambra: How thugs invaded rally arena, attack Chris Uba, others

The Senatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic
Party, PDP in Anambra South Senatorial District, Chief Chris Uba, the
Traditional ruler of Uga, Igwe Chidi Ezenwugo, his cabinet Chiefs, member
representing Aguata in the state House of Assembly, Hon Eucharia Anazodo, PDP
candidate in Aguata 1 constituency, Ezenwa a, Senator Ugochukwu Uba, among
others reportedly escaped death by the whiskers when a yet to be identified
thugs, invaded the residence of a
political chieftain in Uga, Chief Peter Okala, and attacked them where they
retired to after political rally in the area.
According to sources, after chief Chris Uba had gone round the entire four villages of Uga on campaign rally and they reportedly endorsed him as the senator to be, he then retired to the residence of Chief Okala for entertainment and to also address others there.
On the process, thugs numbering about 30 stormed the place, attacked whoever that was within reach, damaged the chairs, looted property and tables.
Immediately, Uba’s security detail reportedly guided and whisked him away while others scampered for safety.
