NIMC solicits NCC’s support for enrolment centres

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Coordinator of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Ndi Awan, paid a familiazation visit to the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), today to explore ways of deepening the existing collaboration between NIMC and NCC in the area of identity management in Nigeria.
Ndi Awan, who represented the Director General of NIMC, Engr. Aliyu Aziz, was received at the NCC Head Office in Abuja on behalf of the EVC/CEO of NCC, Prof. Umar Danbatta by Mrs. Iyabode Sholanke, NCC’s Director of Projects.
The NIMC delegation discussed the challenges faced by NIMC in the fulfilment of its mandate with the representatives of NCC, describing the NCC as “a major partner”. Ndi Awan consequently solicited the support of the Commission in the area of network connectivity in some rural areas of the FCT to enhance effective functioning of the NIMC enrolment centres in Abuja.
