The Elebele Community Bridge, connecting Emeya to Othueke in Bayelsa State, collapsed this morning, Thursday September 5.
It was alleged that the bridge collapsed with a full trailer load of mixed ‘sandcrete’ belonging to Federal Road Maintenance Agency, FERMA.
Meanwhile, a community leader at Isale-Sabo in Oyo town, Alhaji Waheed Ishola Bulah, has raised alarm over the worsening Isale-Sabo Road and one of the bridges that link Isale-Sabo with other communities in Oyo town, warning that if urgent measures are not taken to rehabilitate the road/bridge, Isale-Sabo community would be cut off from the ancient town of Oyo.
