Imo Chief Judge Swears-in Senator Hope Uzodinma as Governor

Imo Governor-Elect, Senator Hope Uzodinma and his Deputy ; Professor Placid Njoku of the All Progressive Congress, APC, will be sworn-in today (Wednesday 15th January, 2020) by the Chief Judge of Imo State by 1pm.
Thereafter, there will be a press briefing by the new Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma.
Chief Uzodinma was yesterday pronounced Governor-Elect by the unanimous judgement of 7-man panel of justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria after the nullification of the election of Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as Governor of Imo State
Uzodinma received a favourable judgment after the highest court in Nigeria accepted 388 pulling units results, registered, documented and earlier cancelled by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and added the figure to what he had, as recorded by the electoral umpire.
The acceptance of the result which bears INEC official stamp and signatures in an authentic result sheet is the icing that saw to the Uzodinma’s declaration as Governor-Elect.
