Man Utd fans ready to roll as Europa League takes centre stage

Soccer fans will continue to enjoy live sporting action of the Europa League football as Manchester United continue their quest for continental glory this Thursday when they return for the first leg of Europa League round of 16  fixtures at the Linza Stadion in Austria.

Manchester United head to Austria to take on LASK Linz on an impressive 10-match unbeaten run but this Europa League trip does come at a tricky time.

The Red Devils put a lot into Sunday’s emotional derby triumph after goals from Anthony Martial and 

Scott McTominay helped them see off neighbors City over the weekend while they have another big Premier League clash coming up at Tottenham three days after the Europa League game.

United have made smooth progress up to this point, as they seek to replicate their 2017 outright success in this tournament. The Red Devils kept five clean sheets in winning Group L, wrapping up first place with a 4-0 thumping of AZ Alkmaar at Old Trafford.

LASK themselves had a good win on Sunday, beating Mattersburg 1-0 away from home to keep their three-point lead at the top of the Austrian Bundesliga standings from RB Salzburg.

But if both clubs are in a fine form, history is on the side of the Premier League club. LASK have never faced any English opposition in European club football, while Manchester United remain unbeaten in eight outings, winning seven of them.

Man Utd have yet to concede a goal on their four previous visits to Austria and have scored seven goals in the process.
