Dead Body Of A 17 Year Old Girl Found In Surulere, Lagos


A 17 year old girl, simply identified as Ayisat was on Monday, reportedly swept away by strong flood at Alapafuja axis of the Surulere Low-Cost Housing Estate following persistent rainfall in the State.
The Cobra Squad of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency LASEMA, continued the search and rescue of this teenage girl today, Tuesday, 23rd June 2020, and after a frantic search, the dead body of the girl was found at Onilegogo canal, Surulere and immediately buried by the community members today.
The DG/CEO LASEMA Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu sends his condolence to the bereaved family. He thereafter appeals to all parents and guardians to ensure adequate safety of their children, wards by restraining them indoors during heavy rainfalls and away from floodings which has been known to sweep away articulated vehicles and even demolish buildings where the flood strength and speeds are strong enough.
