Buhari Set to Sack IGP Ibrahim Idris

President Muhammadu Buhari has had enough of controversial Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris, according to a report by News Express.
“The IGP will be sacked any time from now,” a reliable source said on Tuesday morning, adding that “a new IGP may even emerge today.”
The source indicated that Ibrahim Idris’ cup has become full, as President Muhammdu Buhari has reportedly had enough of him.
The IGP has for months been embroiled in one scandal or controversy to another. When he is not in the news for allegedly abducting journalists, he would be under fire for playing down the seriousness of the herdsmen massacres across some states.
His latest major headache is in connection with the Benue crisis. On Tuesday, Idris was summoned by President Buhari – a day after the President was shocked to learn, during his official trip to Benue, that the IGP disobeyed his clear directive to relocate to the state to find a solution to the herdsmen-famers crisis.
Buhari had publicly expressed surprise when informed by Benue leaders that Idris spent only one day in the state before proceeding to neighbouring Nasarawa State.
