“Before We Restructure Nigeria, We Must Agree That Nigeria Should Remain One” – Arewa Forum

The Arewa Consultative Forum says that before the decision to restructure Nigeria is made, everyone must agree that Nigeria should remain as one nation

The forum was responding to the outcome of the Southern Governors’ meeting yesterday. The Southern Governors had sent a communique to the President requesting that the country should be restructured to ensure that every region’s interest is nurtured at the center.

Reacting to this, the Spokesman of the ACF, Mr. Emmanuel Yawe said there should be an agreement to allow Nigeria to be before the plan for restructuring takes place.

According to Yawe, this position is informed by the fact that the same region that are asking for restructuring are the same region agitation for division in Nigeria.

“Are they believers in Nigeria at all? We must all agree to let Nigeria be before we move forward”, he said.
