Police Officer Returns N1.2m Discovered At An Accident Scene


A police officer in Kano, Sergeant Kabiru Isah, attached to the Command’s Motor Traffic Division (MTD), has returned the sum of N1,294,200.00 found at a scene of a fatal accident.
It is reported that the officer discovered the money while conducting scene analysis minutes after the accident. According to the command’s spokesperson, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the victim of the accident was knocked down to death by a trailer along Zaria road, kano and was in possession of the said amount of money arranged in a shoebox.
The money was returned to the victim’s family while overwhelmed with the behaviour displayed by the police officer, the Managing Director, Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA) Dr Baffa Babba Dan Agundi, rewarded the officer with N100K.
