[REWIND] Shatta Wale Called Himself ‘Proud Naija Boy’ In 2019


Social media have been on a buzz since a Ghanaian rapper, Shatta Wale threw tantrums at Nigerian artists on Monday.
His tweets generated many controversies with some Nigerian celebrities given their thoughts on the disparaging tweets by the rapper.
However, some Nigerians have started sharing screenshots of a tweet of him where he was expressing his excitement at getting a Nigerian passport and work permit.
In this tweet, which is still on his timeline, dated December 10, 2019, Shatta Wale said, “Thank God I just got my Naija passport with a work permit. Proud Naija boy.”(sic)
Shatta Wale had at his concert in the Accra Sports Stadium used curse words on Nigerians and Nigerian musicians, because he was able to fill the stadium with his fans.
He said, “They said I won’t be able to fill my stadiums, I don’t need any Nigerian artiste to sell out Ghana’s stadium, f**k Nigerian artistes.”
