I’m Deeply Sorry – Basketmouth Finally Apologises To AY And Others

Nigerian Comedian Bright Okpocha, known by his stage name Basketmouth, has finally extended an apology to his colleague Ayodeji Richard Makun, popularly referred to as AY, bringing an end to their 17-year-long feud.

The longstanding rift between AY and Basketmouth has been widely discussed in the media.

In a May 2023 interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, AY attributed the cause of their dispute to a business deal gone awry back in 2006.

However, as Basketmouth works on selling tickets for his upcoming show in November, he took the initiative to seek forgiveness from AY and others he may have offended.Assuming responsibility for the lengthy discord, the comedian shared a video on his Instagram page on Monday, publicly tendering his apology.

He said;

“Now to all the people in the industry and beyond that I have offended. I’m saying this to you right now from the bottom of my heart, I’m genuinely sorry please forgive me.

To the people that have accused me of doing things that have affected their careers in one way or the other, I’m not going to accept or deny these allegations, but God knows the truth. But regardless, please forgive me from the bottom of my heart.

“Now to my guy AY, I don’t know if my apology is still valid right now but if it is, please forgive me for whatever I have done or said in the past that affected you in any way forgive me. And I want you to know that I have forgiven you for whatever you have done or said knowingly or unknowingly. It’s gone, and I just wanted us to live in peace and harmony.

“Now for the people who are assuming that this apology video is birthed because I have a show coming up on the 26th of November, I will like to say you are absolutely correct. I’m trying to sell tickets for my show but I’m also sorry for everything that I have done.”

Grammy Award-winning singer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has revealed why he is not yet ready to have children.

He made this known during an Instagram live session on his page on Wednesday.

Burna Boy claimed that his desire to provide the same level of love and dedication his parents gave him is the reason why he is not having kids.

Explaining further, Burna Boy said, “Why haven’t I had kids yet? Bro, it’s because I don’t want to have kids. Like, have you seen my operation? Have you seen my mom the way she loves me? Have you seen my dad the way he loves me?

“Bro, I know I can’t give that to anyone right now with the life I live. So until I am settled and can be there for my children every day, every minute of every day, I am not having any kids.”

Men Of The Lagos State Police Command Have Arrested Singer Portable

The singer was arrested or rather dramatically dragged into the police van while he was trying to run away from the arrest on May 14 following a petition from a car dealer.

Portable allegedly purchased a G-Wagon worth N27 million from the car dealer, made a down payment and took the vehicle away with the promise to pay the balance.

After waiting for a while without any word concerning his balance, the dealer reached out to the singer who claimed the car he purchased had faults. The dealer then asked the singer to return the car or pay the balance but Portable allegedly refused.

Following a petition from the dealer, the police moved in and arrested the singer who is currently in their custody.

When contacted, the spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the arrest of the singer.

Comedians such as AY Makun, Seyi Law, and MC Lively and many other celebrities were in attendance at the child dedication ceremony of ace comedian Atunyota Akpobome, popularly known as Ali Baba.

Recall that the comedian announced the birth of his triplets, born two months earlier, on his Instagram account on Monday, April 1, 2024. However, some netizens thought it was a prank which Ali Baba didn’t bother clarifying.
