CEO Of Access Bank, Herbert Wigwe And Family Tragically Die In Helicopter Accident


Nigeria grieves the loss of a charismatic billionaire, the CEO of Access Holdings Herbert Wigwe, who tragically passed away in a helicopter accident with his wife and son.
The Chief executive of Access Bank Herbert Wigwe, 57, was among six people including his wife and son who were tragically killed when the aircraft went down in the desert.
The helicopter is said to have crashed south of Interstate 15, near Halloran Springs Rd, in Southern California’s Mojave Desert shortly after 10pm on Friday.
Its two pilots and Bamofin Abimbola Ogunbanjo, former chair of NGX Group, the Nigerian stock exchange tragically also died.
Days before his untimely demise, he shared an uplifting message on the value of life.
“Today and always, let us remember that life is a precious gift – a chance to breathe, feel, love, experience and connect. Let’s honor this gift by living with purpose, kindness, and gratitude, making every moment count. Let us number our days.” – He said
