Governor Mbah Visits Igwe Greg Ugwu, Enyi 1 of Attakwu, Nkanu West LGA


Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has paid a visit to His Royal Majesty, Igwe (Dr.) Greg Ugwu, JP, Ochinanwata I of Akegbe-Ugwu and Enyi I of Attakwu Ancient Kingdom, in Awkunanaw, Nkanu West Local Government Area, over the passing and funeral rites of his mother, Late Chief (Mrs.) Mary Mgbeke Ugwu.
Governor Mbah expressed solidarity with the monarch and his family, describing the late matriarch as a woman who lived a fulfilled life marked by dignity, strength of character, and deep devotion to family and community.
He noted that her legacy continues to thrive in the values of service, peace, and leadership exemplified by her son, Igwe Greg Ugwu, who is also a Grand Patron of the Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council.
The governor extended heartfelt condolences, on behalf of the government and good people of Enugu State, to the royal family and the people of Attakwu and Akegbe-Ugwu, praying for the peaceful repose of her soul.
