Nigerians not feeling impact of your anti-corruption war, Umahi to Buhari


The governor of Ebonyi state, Engr. David Umahi, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to fight corruption in such a manner that every Nigerian will feel the impact of the anti-graft war.
The governor made this known at the Government House in Abakaliki on Tuesday when he received Muslim faithful who were on Eid-el-Kabir visit.
“We as a state and government are in support of President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption war; we acknowledged that and ask that it should be fought in a way and manner that Nigerians needs to feel the impact.
“And we shall continue to pray for his health and success and support him in his anti-corruption war in Nigeria,” Umahi said.
Umahi, who represented by the deputy governor, Dr. Kelechi lgwe, reiterated that interest is the major factor which necessitated the alarming rate of defection among the two major political parties.
“But we, as a state, will continue to pray for him for sound health especially at this time where we have seen defection from APC to PDP and PDP to APC,” he said.
The spokesperson of the group, Alh. Barr. Ibrahim Obia, appreciated the governor for his ingenuity in leadership. (Daily Trust)
