See what Buhari said about Leah Sharibu’s message from BH captivity

- DSS begins investigation
President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to appeal by Leah Sharibu, the Dapchi schoolgirl being held by terrorist group, Boko Haram.
He reacted through his media aide, Garba Shehu, on Monday.
It will be recalled that an audio tape is in circulation where Sharibu was heard appealing to President Buhari to secure her release.
According to Shehu, the Department of State Services (DSS) is investigating the clip and the Federal Government will work on the outcome of the investigation.
In the audio clip, the 15-year-old said in Hausa, “I am Leah Sharibu, the girl that was abducted in GGSS Dapchi. I am calling on the government, particularly, the President to pity me and get me out of this serious situation.”
“I also plead to the members of the public to help my mother, my father, my younger brother and relatives. Kindly help me out of my predicament. I am calling on the government and people of goodwill to intervene to get me out of my current situation. I am begging you to treat me with compassion.”
Leah has been in captivity after the insurgents invaded and abducted over 100 students from the Government Girls Secondary School, Dapchi in Yobe State in February.
The terrorists kept her in captivity allegedly for refusing to renounce Christianity. (
