KTK to empower young people against sexual harassment

Sexual harassment and teenage pregnancy are daring issues that are devastating to the Psyche of the victim.

Having recovered from sexual abuse, the founder of ‘Kit the Kids’, a non governmental organization seeks to help children avoid and recover from such sexually related abuses and empower them for a better future.

This Wednesday, 26th of September 2018, the NGO which is a brainchild of Ugwoke Peace Udoka (a social activist and child advocate) will be organizing another campaign against sexual harassment and teenage pregnancy at Community Secondary School, Emene, Enugu State by 10am.

The exercise is to empower teenagers psychologically and physically, thereby making them invulnerable to any form of sexual abuse.

As part of the empowerment programme, books on sexual harassment by donated by the founder of Royal foundation, Ubachukwu Onyinye, will be distributed.

According to Ugwoke Peace Udoka, consenting participants would be given opportunities to share their experiences during a session tagged ‘Open Secrets’.

“With high rates of child abuse cases, the campaign promises to bring succour by giving children a voice and also address the issues”, she said.
