Not Zidane; Ed Woodward identifies Mourinho’s replacement

Manchester United executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, is still reluctant to fire Jose Mourinho, but has identified Mauricio Pochettino as the outstanding candidate to replace him.
The Red Devils have endured a miserable week, drawing at home to Wolves and Valencia, knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Championship side Derby County and losing away to West Ham.
Mourinho’s position at the club is becoming increasingly precarious, while his relationship with several players has fractured.
Woodward is still willing to give him time, but, according to the Independent, if he is sacked, the club will try to bring in Tottenham boss Pochettino as his replacement.
Although Zinedine Zidane has been heavily linked with the job, key figures at Old Trafford are not convinced he is the right fit.
