EEDC reasons for loss of power in parts of Nsukka, Enugu State

The Enugu Electricity Distribution PLC (EEDC) has explained to the customers customers in parts of Nsukka, Enugu State, that the current loss of supply being experienced is as a result of the collapsed Tower 94 on the Oji 66KV transmission line which takes electricity supply down to Nsukka.
This incident, according to Emeka Ezeh, the head, Communications, EEDC
which took place in Okpatu community in Enugu State affected supply to the following feeders:
Aku 11KV
Ugwuoye 11KV
Campus 11KV
Township 11KV
Ibagwa 33KV
“As a result of this development, our customers in Obeachara, New Anglican Road, Nguru community, Lejja, Aku, Ikolo community and parts of Ukehie, Odenigwe, Hill top, Cold room, Ugwuoye axis, Odenigbo Road, parts of University Road, Enugu Road, GRA, Ibagwa, Ovoko, Iheakpu, Edem, Alor Uno, Alor Agu, Okpuje, Okupu, Obimo, Uvuru, Mkpologwu, Akpakwume Nze, Nrobo, Abi, Ugbene Ajima, Nimbo, Ukpabi, Opanda, Adani and Ogurugu communities are out of supply”, he said.
“The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) crew are already carrying out repairs on the collapsed network and we assure our customers that supply will be restored once this is completed.
“We are committed to the delivery of improved services to her esteemed customers”, Ezeh added.
