Ibom Air ready to fly after AOC acquisition


Ibom Air is set to become Nigeria’s first scheduled airline after acquiring Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, Grassroots reports.
Although the airline has not put any of its aircraft to use ever since it was launched in March. However, Ibom Air is ready to hit the sky from tomorrow, Friday.
It was gathered that the available routes for Friday scheduled flight are Lagos, Uyo, and Abuja and air ticket would cost at fifteen thousand Naira (N15,000)
The Governor of Akwa Ibom, Udom Emmanuel who is behind this initiative had promised that the state government will not relent in its effort at managing the airport.
He had also disclosed that the runway has been upgraded to a category two runway while assuring that the MRO would soon commence the maintenance of airlines including Ibom air fleet.
