President Buhari Approves Panel Of Enquiry For Ports Authority


President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the recommendation of the Ministry of Transportation under its Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, for the setting up of an Administrative Panel of Inquiry to investigate the Management of the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA.
The President has also approved that the Managing Director of the Authority, Hadiza Bala Usman should step aside, while the investigation continues.
He has also approved that the Authority’s Executive Director of Finance and Administration, Mr Mohammed Koko acts in that position.
The Director, Maritime Services of the Ministry would head the investigative panel, while the Deputy Director, Legal of the Ministry of Transport would serve as Secretary, would head the panel.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, who revealed this in a statement also said that the Minister of Transportation would appoint other members of the panel.
