Serial Fraudster Jailed One Year for N1.4m Contract Scam In Maiduguri
The Maiduguri Zonal Command of the EFCC, on Thursday, secured the conviction and sentencing of a serial fraudster, David Osigbe Irumekhai, to one year imprisonment before Justice Aisha Kumaliya of the State High Court, Maiduguri for a N1.4million (One Million, Four Hundred Thousand Naira) fraud.
The convict had obtained the above mentioned sum from the complainant under the guise of executing a purported supply contract awarded to him by United Nations Humanitarian Commission for Refugees (UNHCR).
