Ghanaian Lady denied “Call to Bar” because she is a Lesbian


A Ghanaian lady and law graduate known as Ama Governor, has reportedly been denied her call to the bar because she supports and identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community.
The young lady was not summoned by the Body of Benchers to the venue where the call to bar is usually held.


Her sexual preference came out to the public when she boldly declared her being a lesbian on TikTok, And as a TikTok star, the video went Viral which brought about her recent situation.
Not only was her sexual preference condemned, but her piecings and lifestyle was seen as unfit for one who wants to be a lawyer.
She didn’t take it calmly as she lamented that it was inappropriate and unjust for the GBA to suddenly prevent her from becoming a lawyer after she had passed all her exams.
Upset about it, She and her friends too the matter to social media in protest.
Even as we are waiting to know if the Body of Benchers will do anything about it, A lot of African citizens are in support of the decisions taken against her, As some said She should know that her sexual preference is an abomination in Africa. And this isn’t America or Europe.
