Founder of Africa Movies Academy Awards (AMAA), Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, is dead


The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Africa Movies Academy Awards (AMAA), Peace Anyiam-Osigwe died yesterday the 9th of January 2023.
According to reports, she passed away at the St Nicholas Hospital, Lagos, on Monday, January 9, after a brief illness.
Her death came as a huge shock to many.
Confirming her passing on social media, her colleague in the movie industry, Obi Emelonye, shared a short tribute to her
“Thank you and good night dada Peace,” he wrote
She is a highly respected filmmaker, And was also the President of the Association of Movie Producers, AMP.


May her soul rest in peace, And may her family and those who cared about her receive comfort in these trying times, Amen.
